Guitar Hero - a music experience!

This success story started in 2005 with its first release. Guitar Hero is a very popular video game in which the players use a guitar shaped controller to simulate lead and bass guitar playing. In 2008 Guitar Hero 4 - World Tour was released. Number 4 already but gameplay didn't change a lot over the years. Guitar Hero Controllers

A colored fret button on your guitar controller has to be pressed at the precise moment a note passes the 'pick guard' of your virtual guitar on screen. These notes come floating down the 'guitar neck' so you can follow the music. You can try out this gameplay and play Guitar Hero right now on your pc.

Hitting the right fret buttons in time will get your score up. A good score will unlock other songs and guitars. However when scoring is the goal, there's bound to be cheating. Beat the game with some easy to follow cheats.

Contributing to its success is the great list of songs you can play. Songs can be unlocked by scoring points, but they can also be downloaded or bought with virtual money you can win in the game. See our Guitar Hero Song List for details.

The Guitar Hero series have become a phenomenon and can be played on several gaming consoles, on Windows and Mac pc's and even on mobile phones. There's even a Guitar Hero for Wii. Future releases are already announced so don't worry if you missed this train, there will plenty of opportunities to join the Guitar Hero experience.
