The online guitar magazine stand.
The search for a good online guitar magazine
For my searches on the Net I always use Google. It’s not a political choice but it's the biggest and it does a great job.
So open Google and search for online guitar magazine. Look at the results. Now type “online guitar magazine” . (Mind the quotation marks).
There’s a big difference in using quotation are not.
I will use several keywords and keyword combinations with and without quotation marks to find good websites for online guitar magazines. So don’t be surprised if I come up with an ezine site that you haven’t heard of yet.
Found an ezine that is not in the list. You think it's great. Feedback me and I will check it out. When It gets in the list you'll get the credits.
The sites
To keep things simple I’ll give you a list of sites to visit, followed by a brief description of my findings.
Guitarworld.com This website looks promising. Maybe a little one-sided though. There's a lot about electric and Metal guitar but what about acoustics or other styles?
Alloutguitar.com A well designed fast loading site that deserves a visit. A lot of content but no videos. Balanced ad display.
guitarplayer.com Very commercially orientated site. It delivers a huge amount of content being part of the musicplayer network.
vintageguitar.com Website of the Vintage Guitar magazine. Lots of content and nicely designed site. For those who love the 'old' days.
modernguitars.com Very professional site with lots of interesting content. Very few ads. A topper.
